New Employee Assistance Provider (for staff in RBC Maintained Schools)

A reminder that the Council’s Employee Assistance Programme is now provided by Health AssuredThrough this service, staff are only a phone call or click away from independent advice, information, and support that’s completely free and confidential.

The services include access to: 

  • True 24/7/365 service (no answer machines) 
  • 6 telephone counselling sessions for each issue each year 
  • Also: Live chat, monthly webinars, online wellbeing portal, mobile app, and podcasts 

The EAP service can also offer help and advice on financial matters. Money worries affect our mental and physical health and can impact our performance at work and home, as well as being one of the biggest causes of stress.

The Mental Health Foundation - Resources & Events

The Mental Health Foundation, have partnered with Reflect and Refocus to support you to reconsider what rest means to you and how you can find ways to rest depending on what your body needs.  

Aimed at staff working in the education sector, the Rethinking Rest Guide will walk you through the different types of rest, including: 

  • Rest your body
  • Rest your mind
  • Rest your ‘heart’
  • Rest your ‘soul’
  • Rest your connectivity
  • Rest your senses. 

For each type of rest, we give tips and activities to try, as well as link to further resources you may find helpful.

Education Support has launched its new-look website which is packed with new information, advice and resources to help teachers and education staff stay mentally healthy.

Wellbeing tips for teachers: Education Support and MindEd partnership

MindEd and Education Support have joined forces to launch four new resources set out as bite-size tips for staff in education settings.
