Thames-Fest!
A Thameside community event to mark the end of the year and welcome new families.
When: Friday 18th July, picnic starts at 1pm onwards
Entry fee on parent pay or at the gate: £10
- 1:00pm – Picnic Time: Families and children are invited to enjoy a picnic together on the field. Children will sit on blankets with their class teachers and TAs in an allocated part of the school grounds. Children without parents/carers present will go around the event with an allocated TA from the team or year group, whilst other staff lead on the class activity.
- Thames-Fest will cost a single amount £10 for a family ticket on Parent Pay or at the gate. Most of the activities on offer will be included in the price, although there will be some stalls with charges e.g. BBQ and cakes.
- We hope that there will be some live music and activities hosted by members of the local community.
- New children joining in September are warmly invited with their families.
- A chance for parents and carers to meet the new class teachers in an informal setting.

A single-entry fee of £10 will cover most activities, with a few extras available for small additional costs.
Children are warmly invited to come to school in festival-themed clothing or hairstyles — think glitter, colour, face gems, sunglasses, bandannas, or comfy picnic clothes!
Parent Info
- FS to bring a more substantial snack to school to have mid-morning as having a later lunch.
- Picnic starts at 1pm on the field.
- Picnic lunches are available from the school kitchen and bookable in the normal way on Parent Pay
- Stalls & events will start at about 1:30pm
- Once children are handed over to parents at the event, they become the responsibility of the parent/guardian to supervise.
- Parents may take their children home at any time after the event begins.
- Children attending without a parent should bring money to school that day if they would like to buy items from stalls with charges e.g. ice lollies.
- A quiet room will be available for any children needing a sensory break or calm space.
