F. SEMH & WELLBEING GUIDANCE

The first version of this guidance was developed for our whole school community by our Senior Mental Health Lead in collaboration with the Wellbeing Working Party.

In writing our policy, we:

* spoke to parents, staff, pupils and external professionals about what mental health meant to them and what support they would like

* followed this advice from Anna Freud: https://www.annafreud.org/schools-and-colleges/5-steps-to-mental-health-and-wellbeing/leading-change/ensure-there-is-a-robust-mental-health-and-wellbeing-policy/

*ensured that children were involved in writing their own appendix of support

*ensure that our procedures for identifying mental health difficulties are explained.

We hope that all members of our school community find this useful.
