3 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
Thameside Primary School: Strategic Plan
2025-2028

Introduction
Our Strategic Plan for 2025–2028 sets out the school’s vision, values and long-term direction. It builds on the strong progress made in recent years and reflects our continued commitment to providing an inclusive, high-quality education for all pupils.
This plan is designed to ensure that everyone in our school community—pupils, parents, staff and governors—has a clear understanding of our priorities and what we are working towards. It will guide decision-making and enable the governing body to monitor the school’s progress over time.
We are proud of our inclusive ethos, our strong sense of community and the achievements of our pupils. We look forward to continuing our journey to further strengthen outcomes and opportunities for every child.
This is an abbreviated version of the full plan, intended to give a clear and accessible overview of our direction.
We welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Our Strategic Priorities
Two key pillars underpin all of our work:
- Safeguarding – ensuring a safe, secure and supportive environment where all members of the school community feel protected and confident.
- Financial sustainability – managing resources carefully to ensure long-term stability and continued investment in the school’s future.
We have identified the following key priority areas:
Priority 1 – Leadership & Management
We will continue to strengthen leadership at all levels, from senior leaders to subject leaders, ensuring a clear vision, strong accountability and effective governance that supports and challenges the school to improve.
Priority 2 – Quality of Education
We aim to ensure consistently high-quality teaching so that all pupils, including those with additional needs, make strong progress. A key focus will be closing attainment gaps and further improving outcomes, particularly in writing.
Priority 3 – Behaviour, Attitudes & Wellbeing
We will embed a consistent, therapeutic approach to behaviour, creating a calm and supportive environment where pupils and staff can thrive. Improving attendance and wellbeing will also be central to this priority.
Priority 4 – Personal Development
We will provide rich opportunities for pupils to develop confidence, leadership and independence, ensuring all children can participate fully in school life and wider experiences.
Priority 5 – Early Years Foundation Stage
We will strengthen early language development and ensure high-quality provision in Reception and Year 1, supporting strong foundations for all learners.
Priority 6 – Engagement & Partnership
We will build stronger relationships with parents and the local community, ensuring the school is recognised for its strengths and is a first-choice school for families.
Priority 7 – Financial Management
We will continue to manage the school’s finances carefully, working towards reducing the current deficit and ensuring long-term sustainability.
